EDIT: New improved jailbreaking guide : Apple iOS 9.3.4 Breaks Pangu's Jailbreak: Install Now Before It's Too Late. Do it quickly, though, as iOS 9.3.4 patches Pangu's jailbreak.
Team Pangu has finally released a Mac version of their iOS 9 jailbreak tool. When they first released the iOS 9 jailbreak, the tool was only available for Windows users. Now though, Mac users can download the tool and jailbreak their iOS device, running iOS 9.0.2, with ease. Pangu for iOS 9 – 9.0.2 version 1.0.0 is the first release for Mac OS X. Finally with the release of iOS 10.3.1 pangu team released Pangu 10.3.1 jailbreak for iOS 10.3.1 with cydia download for iOS 10.3.1 Download Pangu 10.3.1 Mac. Pangu Team released the jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 - iOS 9.2 in July 2016. Pangu's iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak takes advantage of Saurik’s Cydia Impactor tool. Actually, this release is only added iOS 9.1 jailbreak support for their tool. Few months ago, they released Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.0 – 9.0.2 tool and Apple patched Pangu in iOS 9.1.
The downside? Yes, sadly there's a downside yet, again, although this time there is actually a tool available that compatible devices can use to fully jailbreak. Unfortunately, the tool is what is called a 'semi-tethered' jailbreak. Traditionally, jailbreaks are in the form of 'untethered', which means that once you've installed the jailbreak tool, you can restart or switch off your device and the jailbreak will still be applied - which is what you want.
Sadly, the latest tool is semi-untethered, which means that when you restart or switch off your device (that includes running out of battery), you'll need to re-jailbreak. Thankfully, this can actually be done by just running the jailbreak app on your device - you don't need to hook it up to a PC. But still, this is far from ideal. Below you'll see my full guide on how to jailbreak. You'll then have to make up your own mind as to whether you're desperate enough to use it. For now it's Windows-only too.
Jailbreaking allows you to customize iOS in ways not made possible through iTunes. You can add more options to the control center, tweak or add animations and shortcuts and choose from thousands of exciting apps and tweaks in the Cydia jailbreak store. There are even apps that can fake your location in apps such as 'Pokémon GO' - see how to do that here:
Faking 'Pokémon GO' GPS Location Using iPhone Jailbreak App
However, jailbreaking does open up your device to potential security risks so you do this at your own risk.
1. Download the tool
At the moment, the tool is only available in Chinese, but an English version should be available soon as well as an updated more stable tool that I'd personally recommend you wait for. You can download the tool from hereand follow the instructions below. The download was very slow when I tried earlier on Sunday 24th. The English version will appear this website soon according to the Pangu team which has created it.
2. Backup your device
Most jailbreak tools work fine, but it's always a good idea to backup your device in iTunes first, not least of all because you can restore your phone later after you've updated to iOS 9.3.3, which I'll be doing here. If anything goes wrong, you can just restore back to your previous backup and try again. To backup, go into iTunes, connect your device to the PC physically, right click on it under devices, and select backup.
3. Update to iOS 9.3.3
If you haven't already, update to iOS 9.3.3, or you can try jailbreaking on any firmware above 9.2 as well. Usually, I'd recommend restoring your device as well but I jailbroke my iPhone 6 fine without doing it this time.
4. Install and run the tool
Once installed you'll be presented with a window that looks like the above image. First, lock your iOS device. Click on the large green box at the bottom to start installing the jailbreak - with your device connected to your Windows PC or laptop of course. If it doesn't or you're running the application for a second time you may need to click the blue icon on the programs main page when you open it.
5. Enter details
Now, jailbreakers have reported two things happening here. Some people see a captcha and enter details to move to the next step while others are required to input their Apple ID and password. This is a standard method of sideloading applications into iOS. There have been no reported security issues here, but clearly entering your details may be something some don't want to do. You can, of course, change your password as soon as you've jailbroken your device to be on the safe side, or create a throw-away set of ID details.
6. Let the program run.

There should be a white rotating ring in a green box appear at various stages here. I've found that if this sits there for more than 5 minutes, it's worth closing the application and trying again as it shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
7. First step done
Once you've completed the Windows-based step you should see a screen like this.
8.Check for the application
If the process was successful you should see this application on your iOS device.
9. Accept developer
Now go to Settings>Device management and click on your email address/Apple Device ID name and click trust the developer. I've whited out the addresses here but yours should list the Apple ID you used. This will allow the application to jailbreak your device.
10. Open the app
Now open the app and you'll be asked to accept notifications
Do this then click/swipe the blue circle like above.
11. Lock your device
Finally, lock your device by quick-pressing the power button. Then press it again to go to the unlock screen and you should see a message from the PP app. This means you've been successful
12. Open Cydia
If everything has worked as it should, Cydia should appear on your iOS device. It may take a day or two for apps and tweaks to be updated and some are reporting issues with Cydia too. I'll keep this posted updated with potential solutions.
